Charlotte Bobcats sign SBU Alum Matt Rogers

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Former SBU All-American Matt Rogers was signed by the Charlotte Bobcats during the opening of their training camp. Rogers is the latest out of several Bearcats in the coach Jeff Guiot era to have an opportunity to play professional basketball, and the first to sign with an NBA team.

[Image]Rogers, a 6-11 center from Doniphan, Mo., received multiple All-American awards during his four-year career at SBU, and is the all-time school leader in blocked shots. Rogers led the Bearcats to back-to-back MIAA titles in 2008 and 2009.
