BOLIVAR, Mo. – Southwest Baptist University Professor of Communication Dr. Brett Miller along with a colleague, Dr. Joshua Compton from Dartmouth College, presented at the annual meeting of the Eastern Communication Association. Dr. Compton is a 1997 graduate of SBU.
The presentation consisted of a paper entitled, “‘You Lie!’ and ‘I’m Sorry.’: Power and Rhetoric in Congressman Joe Wilson’s Outburst and Apology” at the 102nd Annual Meeting of the Eastern Communication Association in Washington, D.C., on April 13.
