SBU Incoming Students Receive J.R. Maupin Founders Award

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Three incoming freshman at Southwest Baptist University received the J.R. Maupin Founders Award, which gives students full tuition.  Students receiving this award are Julie Strubinger (Auburn, Ill.), Nikolas Fischer (Maryland Heights, Mo.) and Faith Crook (Overbrook, Kan.)

Students had to apply for this competitive academic scholarship by attending Scholars Day on February 19, 2011. To apply for this prestigious award, students must have qualified for an Ingman Distinguished Scholars Award or a Pike Scholars Award.  Three J.R. Maupin Founders Awards are offered annually to incoming SBU freshman.
