BOLIVAR, Mo. – SBU Students in Free Enterprise and Institute of Management Accountants will host a free Microsoft Excel seminar for SBU students, SBU professors, and members of the Bolivar community from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 26, in the Wheeler Science Building (Room 101).
The seminar will be led by nationally-known speaker Bill Jelen (also known as Mr. Excel). The seminar will include tips and tricks to improve efficiency in Microsoft Excel. Jelen's seminars have helped both advanced users and non-advanced users of Excel.
SBU professors will find this seminar useful to improve their own Excel knowledge and efficiency. Additionally, SBU students are encouraged to attend the seminar. If faculty are willing to offer their students extra credit for attending this event, they should e-mail Caleb Harris at ch000095@sbuniv.edu so they can receive a list of students in attendance at the seminar.
About Mr. Excel:
Jelen has made over 60 guest appearances on TV’s “Call for Help” with Leo Laporte and has helped people all over the country improve their Excel efficiency through his entertaining and informative seminars. He was voted guest of the year on the “Computer America” radio show and creates a daily podcast entitled “Learn Excel from Mr. Excel.”
