SBU Faculty Piano Recital Celebrates Franz Liszt

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Dr. Robert Carney, Assistant Professor of Music, will present a faculty piano recital on Tuesday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus of SBU. This event celebrates the bicentennial of Franz Liszt’s birth and features an entire program of his music. 

An exploration into Liszt's work in larger forms, the recital will feature “Vallée d'Obermann” (Obermann’s Valley) from the first book of the “Années de Pèlerinage” (The Years of Pilgrimage), the “Second Ballade in B Minor,” and the monumental “B Minor Sonata.”

This event is free and open to the public.
