SBU announces new faculty for 2013-2014 academic year

BOLIVAR, Mo.Southwest Baptist University is pleased to introduce twelve new faculty members for the 2013-14 academic year. SBU faculty are committed to teaching and encouraging students to equip them for a lifetime of success. Please join us in welcoming these new faculty members to our university.

Ms. Angela Carr is the new instructor of business administration. Carr holds a B.S. from Missouri State University and a M.S. from Southwest Baptist University. Carr has previously taught as an SBU adjunct and now moves into a full-time faculty position.

Dr. Nancy Colbaugh joins SBU as an assistant professor of graduate education. Colbaugh holds a B.S. from Evangel University, a M.S. from Missouri State University, a Ed.S. from Missouri State University, and a Ed.D. from University of Missouri-Columbia.

Dr. Tammy Condren is an assistant professor and education doctorate coordinator. Condren holds a B.S. from Southwest Baptist University, a M.S. from Missouri State University, a Ed.S. from Missouri State University, and a Ed.D. from University of Missouri-Columbia.

Mrs. Meilani Conley is the new instructor of computer and information sciences. Conley has a B.S. from Southwest Baptist University and a M.S. from University of Phoenix.

Mr. Tom Douglas is an associate professor and the new chair of the department of art. Douglas holds a B.F.A. from Austin Peay State University and a M.F.A. from University of Mississippi.

Ms. Amy Jones joins SBU’s Springfield campus as an instructor of nursing. Jones holds an A.S.N. from Cox College of Nursing, a B.S.N. from Cox College of Nursing, and a M.S.N. from University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Dr. Coyle Neal is the new assistant professor of political science. Neal holds a B.S. from University of Wyoming, a M.A. from Catholic University of America, and a Ph.D. from Catholic University of America.

Ms. Lisa Percival joins SBU as an instructor of athletic training. Percival holds a B.S. from Gardner-Webb University and a M.Ed. from University of Texas-Tyler.

Mr. Paul Putt is the new instructor of exercise science. Putt holds a B.S. from Southwest Baptist University and a M.S. from University of Central Missouri.

Ms. Marty Stockstill joined the SBU faculty in January 2013 as an instructor and clinical education facilitator in the department of physical therapy. Stockstill holds a B.S. and M.S. from Missouri State University.

Ms. Marsha Trantham is a new assistant professor of physical therapy. Trantham holds a B.S. from Missouri State University and a M.S.P.T. from Texas Woman’s University.

Dr. Cindy Wolfe joins SBU as the new professor of biology. Wolfe holds a B.S. from Southwest Baptist University and a Ph.D. from Purdue University.
