Bolivar Fire, Police Departments
receive recognition from SBU
BOLIVAR, Mo. — Southwest Baptist University presented certificates of appreciation
to the Bolivar Fire and Police Departments during a luncheon Wednesday, April
10.
“We really appreciate you and
everything you do for us,” Mark Grabowski, SBU’s Director of Safety and
Security, told the 25 emergency responders who attended. “John 15:13 says, ‘Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life
for one’s friends.’ That’s what you’re called to do every day.”
SBU President Dr. C. Pat
Taylor presented the certificates to Bolivar Fire Chief Jim Ludden and Bolivar
Police Chief Steve Hamilton.
“Thank you for what you do,
not only for SBU but for Bolivar,” he said. “We appreciate the fire protection
and safety you provide for the community. We appreciate the cooperation we have
with your departments.”
