BOLIVAR, Mo. – Dr. Andrew Campbell
will present a faculty voice recital, assisted by Dr. Robert Carney on piano, Thursday,
January 31, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.
The
recital will include Gerald Finzi’s “Farewell to Arms,” Ralph Vaughan Williams’
“Songs of Travel,” and John Carter’s “Cantata.” John Carter’s “Cantata” is a 20th century
setting of traditional African-American spirituals with a heavy emphasis on the
piano.
The
concert will be held in Meyer Recital Hall in the SBU Music Building. The
event is free and open to the public.
