SBU to Benefit from H&R Block Grant

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Southwest Baptist University will benefit from a recent grant of $10,000 to the Missouri Colleges Fund (MCF) from H&R Block Bank and Foundation, which will underwrite need-based student scholarships at each of the 16 MCF member schools including SBU. The scholarships will be awarded by the member schools to students studying toward attaining degrees in science and math.

The MCF was formed in 1952 as a non-profit corporation.  The MCF Mission is to acquire resources to help educate students in its 16 member private liberal-arts colleges and universities.

Missouri Colleges Fund member schools include Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar; Avila University, Kansas City; Central Methodist University, Fayette; Columbia College, Columbia; Culver-Stockton College, Canton; Drury University, Springfield; Evangel University, Springfield; Fontbonne University, St. Louis;  Hannibal – LaGrange University, Hannibal; Maryville University, St. Louis; Missouri Baptist University, St. Louis; Park University, Parkville; Rockhurst University, Kansas City; Westminster College, Fulton; William Jewell College, Liberty; and William Woods University, Fulton.
