BOLIVAR, Mo. – Southwest Baptist University’s Driskill Gallery will feature an exhibit of work by sculptor Mark La Mair beginning Sept. 20. The exhibit, located in the Jester Learning and Performance Center, will run through Oct. 15, and is free and open to the public. A reception will be held in the gallery from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25.
La Mair creates sculpture using a combination of methods: welding, fabricating, casting, and carving. He uses a wide range of materials including metals, stone, wood, glass, fabric and rawhide. He has produced work for over 25 years which is included in over 250 private, corporate, municipal and museum collections across the nation.
