SBU to host faculty trumpet recital

BOLIVAR, Mo.The Southwest Baptist University Department of Music will host a faculty trumpet recital at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, in the Meyer Recital Hall featuring Tim Wootton, adjunct professor of trumpet. Wootton will be accompanied by his wife and pianist, Carla Wootton.

The program will include virtuosic showpieces, well-known songs and the premiere of the “Trumpet Sonata in Three Movements” by Michael Schwartz. The recital is free and open to the public.
