SBU Marketing Department Receives National Advertising Award

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Southwest Baptist University’s marketing and communications department along with The Whelan Group recently received a national higher education advertising award for a recent admissions publication.

Sharina Smith, senior director of marketing and communications, said SBU and The Whelan Group’s team efforts received a merit award in the 26th Annual Educational Advertising Awards competition for the search piece, “A Life of Direction Starts at Southwest.”

The award was sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report. The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,500 entries were received from more than one thousand colleges, universities and secondary schools from all fifty states and several foreign countries.
